Descripción Taschenbuch. Condición: Neu. This item is printed on demand - it takes 3-4 days longer - Neuware -In this study the performance of biomass gasification plants is improved by integrating a hydrogen production system by water electrolysis. The electrical energy required for the separation of water molecules is provided by photovoltaic panels and the hydrogen produced is mixed with the syngas to increase the power of the generator. The use of PV powered electrolyzers has the advantage of a simple technicality that facilitates its popularization and maintenance in the rural world. Compared to traditional PV systems, PV-electrolyser hybridization also eliminates the high investment costs associated with the purchase of batteries because the energy is conveyed in the form of hydrogen that is directly consumed in the engine. Moreover, the direct use of the gas in the engine does not require the separation of hydrogen and oxygen and allows a simplified design. The proposed system contributes to the energy independence of areas isolated from the national grid, and to the improvement of the living standards of the rural population in Madagascar. 56 pp. Englisch.
