Everything in Martin Koroscha’s paintings, which are devoid of people, are reduced to straight-lined landscapes, making them appear constructed, as if the images have come straight from the drawing board or are computer-generated. This work provides readers with a closer look at these unique landscapes and architecture, revealing that they are much more vivid than they seem. Koroscha’s assumedly clear image world is full of disruptions, and the superficially rigid buildings begin to move.
Martin Koroscha studied fine art at the FH Ottersberg in Germany. He is a member of the BBK, an association of artists, and is a founding member the art group TetraPack, which refers to the well-known packaging company and its products. Rainer Beßling is an editor. Bärbel Schönbohm is an art historian. Gernot Willberg is artist and author.
