The European Foundation - Tapa blanda

The European identity suffers from the lack of a shared notion of the public good. No legal instruments are at the disposal of Europeans to express their interest in the common good at the European level. This volume presents the first comprehensive approach to designing and drafting the legal form of a European Foundation. Legal professionals from all over Europe have collaborated to develop a pathbreaking new approach.

Rainer Walz is director of the Institute for Tax Law and the Law of Nonprofit Organizations at the Bucerius Law School, Hamburg. Thomas von Hippel is an academic assistant at both the Max Planck Institute for Foreign Private and Private International Law and the Bucerius Law School, Hamburg. Volker Then is project manager of the Philanthropy and Foundations division of the Bertelsmann Foundation.
