In his new works, Mike Kelley deals with the imaginary city of Kandor, capital of the planet Krypton and home of the comic figure Superman. The publication presents the group of works titled Kandors and documents the transformation of two-dimensional comic pictures into three-dimensional sculptures.
Biografía del autor:
Rafael Jablonka is a European modern art dealer and owner of the Jablonka Gallery in Cologne, Germany. Mike Kelley is an American artist who lives and works in Los Angeles. In addition to the Jablonka Gallery, his work has been exhibited at the Louvre, Tate Liverpool, the Gagosian Gallery, and the Whitney Museum of American Art.

Scarce catalogue of a show by Mike Kelley from the Jablonka Galerie 2010 showing the Kandors series, some of his most subtle and detailed works. Excellent condition overall. Binding is solid and sturdy, and though it has the slightest lean / slant to it, this is rather negligible and does not effect the integrity of the binding at all nor the attractiveness of the book. No dustjacket as issued. Pictorial boards have some very light rubbing and scuff marks and some very minor wear to very corner tips, but very clean and presentable. Interior is bright and clean, free of marks of any kind. Tons of color images as well as black and white reproductions. Short text by the artist is included as well.
