The illustrated contents (X + 550 pp.), with ALL TEXT IN GERMAN, are clean, complete, and securely bound, and profile World War I military men from A (Hans Adam) to G (Hans von Guretzky-Cornitz) who were admitted to the Order Pour le Mérite and were thus recipients of the so-called 'Blue Max', the Kingdom of Prussia's highest military honor. Each profile includes a photograph, the ceremony justification, the service career, promotions, and awarded medals. Blue cloth with gilt lettering (in black blocks) and decoration on the spine, plus a stamped gilt facsimile of the Pour le Mérit on the upper board. The black blocks and the upper board decoration are rubbed.
