Reseña del editor

Flowers are nature‘s beloved gift to human kind. Among the flowers the China aster have a great demand in domestic as well as international markets. China aster (Callistephus chinensis L. Nees) is an annual flower crop belonging to the family Asteraceae. Flower production, quality and perfection in the form of plants are the important objectives to be commercial flower production. Though the quality of flowers is primarily a varietal trait, it is greatly influenced by climatic, geographical and nutritional factors. Among major nutrients the nitrogen is a major structural constituent of plant cell and also a part of all proteins, amino acids, enzymes, co-enzymes and alkaloids. Many essential functions that phosphorus has in plant life and its role in energy storage and transfer is singly most important. Besides the interaction effect of nitrogen, phosphorus is also found to be greater significance in crop production. Along the fertilization affecting yield and quality of China aster flower, adoption of suitable high yielding variety also plays an important role in maximization of China aster yield per unit area.
