The volume contains 15 papers by linguists from seven different European countries. The papers offer insights into the research results of a number of recent studies conducted in the field of applied linguistics covering topics such as specialized communication, foreign language teaching, terminology problems and the like. Dieser Band enthalt 15 Beitrage von 24 Sprachwissenschaftlern aus sieben europaischen Landern. In den Beitragen werden die neueren Forschungsergebnisse auf dem Gebiet der Angewandten Linguistik veroeffentlicht, in denen es unter anderem um die Themen Fachkommunikation, Fremdsprachenlernen und Terminologiefragen geht.

Leonard Pon, Vladimir Karabalic and Sanja Cimer work at the Department of German language and applied linguistics of the University of Osijek (Croatia). Leonard Pon works as a senior teaching assistant. His interests include general linguistics, syntax, and grammar processing. Vladimir Karabalic is the Head of the Department of German language and literature, 2010-2011 the chair of the Croatian Applied Linguistics Society, and since 2012 vice president of the Society. Sanja Cimer works as a senior teaching assistant. Her research interests mainly include aspects of translation studies, esp. literary translation and psycholinguistic approaches to translation. Leonard Pon, Vladimir Karabalic und Sanja Cimer arbeiten am Lehrstuhl fur deutsche Sprache und angewandte Linguistik der Universitat Osijek (Kroatien). Leonard Pon arbeitet als Oberassistent. Seine Interessen liegen im Bereich der allgemeinen Linguistik, der Syntax und der Grammatikverarbeitung. Vladimir Karabalic ist Leiter der Abteilung fur Germanistik, 2010-2011 Vorsitzender der Kroatischen Gesellschaft fur Angewandte Linguistik und seit 2012 Vizeprasident dieser Gesellschaft. Sanja Cimer arbeitet als Oberassistentin. Ihre Forschungsinteressen umfassen hauptsachlich Aspekte der Translationswissenschaft, insbesondere literarisches UEbersetzen und psycholinguistische Ansatze beim UEbersetzen.
