Oral traditions constitute one of the central items within the philosophical investigations in Africa. The study here presents a hermeneutical analysis of this oral-narrative-text, as a contribution to the current discourse concerning the constitution and nature of African philosophy.

Biografía del autor:
The Author: Joachim Mugalu was born on the Buvuma Islands of Lake Victoria, Uganda, in 1961. He studied Philosophy at Katigondo National Major Seminary, Masaka, from 1979 to 1982, and Theology at the Pontifical Urban University, Rome, from 1982 to 1985. He made his doctoral studies in Philosophy at the Albert-Ludwigs-University of Freiburg, Germany, from 1988 to 1994.
