Shara was born in 1974; she is married to Bear Grylls and has a little boy called Jesse, aged two. They live on a Dutch barge on the Thames in London and on a small, private island in Wales. "Bear and I are still just starting out on the journey of marriage, as are many people who will read this book. Others with greater years behind them will nod their heads knowingly (and often with a wry smile!) at some of the philosophies contained within.
