Ray Goble provided the comprehensive statistics for this book. He first started taking an interest in West Indies cricket in 1950 after watching them play for the first time, and has been keeping records on them ever since. He is co-author of The Complete Record of West Indian Test Cricketers (1991). He has been a member of the Association of Cricket Statisticians since 1986, and was also a founder member of the Association of Football Statisticians, and a life long supporter of Manchester City. He is author of The Complete Record of Manchester City FC (1987 & 1992). He has also supplied statistics to many other books and magazines over the years. A native of Barbados, Keith A.P. Sandiford is a graduate of the University of the West Indies and the University of Toronto. After lecturing in modern history for more than 30 years at the University of Toronto, York University in Ontario and the University of Manitoba, he retired in 1998 and was elevated to the status of Professor Emeritus. He is a prolific and wide-ranging author whose books and articles address such subjects as Black Studies, Victorian politics and diplomacy, Barbadian sport and education, and the professionalisation of modern cricket. A regular contributor to Cricket Lore and The Journal of the Cricket Society, he has also written in the 'Famous Cricketers' series published by the Association of Cricket Statisticians and Historians.
