With the combination of TAG Porsche and Honda engines, and drivers such as Niki Lauda, Alain Prost and Ayrton Senna, it seemed invincible. Then came the doldrum years, but with three wins in 1997, and a car designed by aerodynamicist, Adrian Newey and powered by Mercedes-Benz engines, the McLaren team is poised for a new era at the pinnacle of F1 racing.
