THIS VOLUME is the 1908 edition of William Chaffers' authoritative Handbook which was revised and enlarged by the leading expert and contemporary of Chaffers - Frederick Litchfield. It covers some 3,500 examples of pottery and porcelain marks and monograms from the Chinese Tung-han dynasty (circa 25AD) to the late 19th century, and includes works from China, Japan, Germany, Italy, France, Holland, Belgium, Poland, England and Wales.
