Laurie Michaels, a 26-year-old journalist, has left her home, her job, and her husband for a new beginning in Asia. When offered a job with Orion Management Systems, a fast growing computer company, she throws herself into a life played out in corporate boardrooms, high-class hotels and airport lounges. At first, Laurie embraces the company?s boom. But, as the stakes grow higher she confronts the role that women play in a male dominated business world and questions her ethics, loyalty and identity.

Laurie Michaels leaves her husband and job in Australia for a life based in boardrooms, hotels and airports, working for a glamorous computer company. Although she sets out to conquer the executive world, she is soon forced to confront the irresolvable dilemmas faced by all businesswomen.
