Reseña del editor:
Ron Sheppard is known as Britain s most married man. People often ask him why he has been down the aisle eight times. For half a century he has hidden a frightening secret that ruined his childhood and blighted his adult relationships. Ron suffered years of sexual abuse at the hands of a family friend a local businessman and respected councillor. Silenced with threats, he told no one, not his parents, friends or his wives. Hand picked at age nine by his abuser simply for being a child from a poor family, his Sunday afternoon ordeals were rewarded with pocket money and food parcels. Later Ron forged a career as a blue coat entertainer and Sir Norman Wisdom s tour manager, while he turned to women for comfort. As his marriages failed one by one he wondered if he would ever be able to face his past and be happy. Not knowing who to talk to, he wrote a letter to a stranger and his life was never the same again. This is the inspirational true story of how Ron left the nightmares behind and found his future.
