Nelson at Sea - Tapa dura

In this third story from Nelson, the horse who drew the last horse-drawn milkfloat in Wales, Mike the Milk, his owner, goes to Llandudno for the weekend by himself. So, Nelson and his friends the pigeon with no sense of direction, the rat brothers, the deaf race-horse, the frog who thinks he is a spy, and the ducks secretly decide to have a holiday of their own. They find the perfect guest house in Tenby to cater for all their needs, right down to the oat cuisine, and become involved in a rescue at sea, which brings them fame they will need to keep from Mike; but how can they do that? The story is full of gags that 79-year-olds may not fully grasp, but it gallops along with verve and vigour, and Jac Joness wonderfully funny illustrations complement it perfectly.
