Críticas:
"This harrowing, turbocharged account of undercover life is reminiscent of Donnie Brasco . . . the strength and white-hot intensity of the writing make this read like a movie, and Hollywood is certain to take note" (Publishers Weekly)

"A riveting story of a one-of-a-kind officer that takes you to the deepest and most dangerous part of undercover work. Highly recommended" (Joseph Pistone, author of Donnie Brasco)

"The gripping account of a fed who went undercover to investigate the Mongols - a gang so notorious that even the Hell's Angels steer clear" (People)

"A harrowing tale [that] keeps you engrossed . . . Queen's courage and skill in penetrating this closed underworld inspires admiration, even awe" (New York Times)

"Rips along like a Harley on the 405 at midnight" (Entertainment Weekly)
Reseña del editor:

In 1998, veteran law enforcement officer and lifelong motorcycle lover William Queen penetrated the San Fernando chapter of the notorious Mongols and kick-started the most extensive undercover operation inside a criminal motorcycle gang in American history.

Queen was at the mercy of criminal psychopaths who sought to have him prove his fealty by any means necessary, from selling and doing drugs to arms trafficking, driving getaway cars and, in one shocking instance, stitching up the face of a Mongol 'ol' lady' after a brutal beating at the hands of her boyfriend. Yet despite the constant criminality of the gang, Queen also came to see the genuine camaraderie they shared. When his lengthy undercover work totally isolated Queen from his relatives and friends, the Mongols felt like the only family he had left.

Under and Alone is a breathless, adrenalin-charged read that puts you on the street with some of the most dangerous men in America.
