Descripción Hardcover. Condición: New. This book will provide a comprehensive and detailed account of all Ferraris built for the road (production and prototype) from the Tipo 166 Inter of 1948 through to the latest Tipo 612 Scaglietti and its contemporaries. All early Ferraris were powered by the so-called Colombo 'short-block' engine of considerable historical significance. Its origins lay in the V12 Grand Prix engines designed by Vittorio Jano for Alfa Romeo during the 1930s. With a marque like Ferrari, it can be difficult to distinguish between the pure touring models and the competition versions of the same model. In this book the two variants will be carefully considered and segregated. This is particularly important in relation to not just the 250GT cars built in small numbers in the 1950s through to the mid-1960s, where there were so many variations of the 250GT for both touring and competition use. It is also very relevant to the cars entered and raced by private teams in the 1990s onwards. Nº de ref. del artículo: 163698
