Janet Shearer is a leading trompe l'oeil and mural painter. Born into a family of architects, she trained as an artist before becoming a model, and then moved into the film world as an art director and set designer. She now undertakes commissions from both public and private clients and runs regular five-day trompe l'oeil painting courses at her studio, teaching beginners valuable basic drawing skills and extending the abilities of those who already feel confident.
