In a Moment is the story of two mothers and the tale of the ultimate love of their child. The story centres on Adam and Emma, a couple being torn apart by their past. On the brink of splitting-up, their relationship is only held together by a thread. As Adam and Emma's marriage begins to disintegrate around them, Adam tries desperately to salvage his marriage but Emma does everything in her power to avoid him. But what has brought them to this point? And why is Adam having recurring nightmares? Meanwhile Jean McParland is a single mother battling with her out of control son Paul.
