Reseña del editor:
The Jesus prayer is an ancient Orthodox way of prayer. Brother Ramon, a Franciscan hermit who died in 2000, and Bishop Simon share the lessons they gained personally from the Jesus Prayer and tell how Brother Ramon's final illness enriched the ensights they gained. For all wanting to deepen their experience of prayer, this book shows how the Jesus prayer can be used for group as well as individual prayer. It brings together insights from the Catholic, evangelical and Orthodox traditions. The 13 chapters and epilogue are written alternately by Bishop Simon and Brother Ramon. Topics covered include: the biblical basis of the Jesus prayer; teaching the Jesus prayer at retreats; its impact on both individual and group prayer; the Jesus prayer and intercession; a last visit to Ramon - praying near death; and suggestions for further reading.
