Stick It! is the scarcely believable story of the legendary rock drummer Carmine Appice. As one of the most revered and innovative drummers in rock history, Carmine Appice has played with Vanilla Fudge; Rod Stewart; Beck, Bogert & Appice; Ozzy Osbourne; and Pink Floyd, to name a few. With a rock 'n' roll lifestyle inevitably comes a story that's wild, chaotic and thrilling to read. A foreword by Rod Stewart kicks off one of the most extraordinary and outrageous rock biographies of our time.
Throughout Stick It! My Life Of Sex, Drums, And Rock 'N' Roll, Appice describes with fascinating in-depth details about his early life growing up in Brooklyn as part of an Italian-American family. Moving on to his first gigs with a number of different rock bands, as well as his encounters with fellow icons like Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd.
In prose as rhythmic and driving as his drum beats, Appice describes the extraordinary life of a full-time rock star, including hedonism, rubbing shoulders with rock royalty, as well as the thunderous drumming that propelled him to stardom.
Co-written with Ian Gittins, the co-author of Nikki Sixx's 'The Heroin Diaries', Stick It! is the biography of one of rock music's most inimitable and influential percussionists.
