I liked this book immensely. There is such a mix of interesting info on London s firefighting men and women. I see it is mostly taken from the fire brigade magazine. Well, I must say, I think the author, David Pike, did a superb job of picking the most interesting and insightful. Male reader, aged 54 The illustrations were just as interesting as the writing. Female reader, aged 43 Lots of history and photographs from London firefighting history. Fascinating and often surprising. But always thoroughly entertaining.
