The last of humanity has taken refuge in hibernation at the poles, hiding from the giant invading insects that have conquered the Earth. Evelyn is the only one to see the oncoming storm, but the clan leaders and her elders do not believe her warnings, and time is running short.

Dan Abnett is a NYT best selling novelist and award-winning comic book writer. He has written twenty-five novels for the Black Library, including the acclaimed Gaunt's Ghosts series. His novel Horus Rising and his Doctor Who and Torchwood books were both bestsellers. He has written Judge Dredd comics for 2000 AD and also created many long-running characters for that anthology, including Gene the Hackman, as well writing Guardians of the Galaxy and many other series for Marvel and DC.
