Reseña del editor:
Real Encounters with Thousands Flown in and Trafficked at National Football Championship Games. Every year during the National Football Championship game, fans inside the stadium shout and cheer for their teams. Meanwhile, screams outside the stadium are silenced by violence against our missing and abused children, our abandoned women, and our vulnerable boys. Human trafficking has plagued society for centuries. Major sporting events are the largest venues for trafficking. Thousands of fans fly into hosting cities, creating a high demand for escort services. To meet the demand, untold numbers of victims are brought in and sexually exploited. Ironically, our volunteers often fly on the same planes with pimps, prostitutes, and victims. Our volunteers meet them. We hear their names. We listen to their stories. We pray with them in strip clubs, brothels, and on the streets. We bind bleeding mouths and witness broken hearts. We leave with their mascara on our shirts. We fly them to safety. This book gives voice to those outside the stadium. You will witness suffering and hear testimonies. Their silence has echoed over the years; now they're speaking out to our volunteers. These volunteers joyfully rescue those who courageously say, "Yes." 100% of book proceeds fund our annual outreach. Thank you for saving a life. Biografía del autor:
The Skyway Railroad is a non-profit who leads teams each year to the U.S. national football championship game. Our team of experts includes law enforcement/probation officers, medical personnel, attorneys, expert outreach workers, human trafficking advocates, housing specialists, pastors/ministers, and human trafficking survivors Our overall mission is to unite Christian organizations nationally and collectively liberate those bound in targeted modern day slaveries: Poverty, Addiction, Trafficking, Crime, Health (P.A.T.C.H.). Our human trafficking efforts have both national and local impact in the greater Memphis, Tennessee Mid-South region. We disrupt sex trafficking through a local and national network of abolitionists who reach, rescue, and restore survivors. Many rescued victims are not safe in the jurisdiction they are trafficked. We provide placement and safe passage for survivors through a network of Christian safe houses nationally, allowing relocation to a jurisdiction away from their trafficker. Every year the Skyway Railroad partners with the non-profits, and federal, state, and local law enforcement officials to reach, rescue, and place sex trafficking victims flown to the national football championship game. Voices Outside the Stadium is a compilation of volunteer's real encounters when conducting outreach at the championship football game in venues known for human trafficking (strip clubs, bus and truck stops, brothels, massage parlors, etc.). Volunteers submit reflections and every year our goal is to compile and share these muted voices. 100% of the proceeds from Voices Outside the Stadium fund the Skyway Railroad’s annual outreach at the national football game, including outreach supplies, lodging, travel, and victim services and placement.
