Sanakhou is an exciting tale revolving around historical characters in mid 13th-century Mali. The eldest son, prince of the Konde, and his mentor, a retired Nubian assassin, travel to the capital of the empire and are faced with challenges of conspiracy, intrigue and murder orchestrated by an aging courtesan. Will those who orchestrated the murders and robberies be caught? Will the pact finally be implemented so the prince and princess can marry? Sanakhou is filled with intriguing twists and turns and historical characters of interest like the the Lion King of Mali, Sundiata Keita, king of the Keita clans of Mali. This is the debut book for author Elizabeth Evans. She enjoys historical novels and is currently working on her second novel.
