Osasu and Osaze are two young lads dreaming of transforming their little nation, Uzelu. In seeing through their dreams Osaze becomes the first indigenous priest while Osasu becomes Uzelu's foremost Electrical Engineer after studying in London. Seeing his nation's lack of power as the root cause of all her under-development- the pervading darkness engulfing the land, his first priority is to procure a power - generating plant from England with the aid of his pragmatic British wife, Jane. But Uzelu is a land steep in Tradition, part of which is the denunciation of light at night at the demands of the local deity- god of life. The power play between the new and the old, Light and Darkness Tradition and Progress opens up Osasu's eyes of understanding to the reason why his nation's development, progress and transformation remain a PENDING DREAM. It is an expository tale about Africa and the rest of the developing world!
