Storytime Classics: Hansel and Gretel - Tapa dura

A retelling of the traditional tale in which a poor woodcutter's two children, lost in the woods, come upon a candy house inhabited by a wicked witch.

Sarah Adams studied Art and Design at Hull College of Art. After graduating she completed a post-graduate in illustration at Central St Martins School of Art in London. Sarah has worked for numerous and varied publishers including Walker Books (UK), Orchard Books and The Times but GARY AND RAY is the first picture book she both wrote and illustrated. She has exhibited her work widely in London both in mixed and solo shows. Her specialisation is Progressive Linocut. In 2007 she completed an MA in children's book illustration at the Ruskin School of Art Cambridge. She lives and works in Hoxton, London.ANDY CATLING is a professional illustrator with more than 30 illustrated titles under his belt. He works in both traditional and digital mediums to make artwork with a rigorous mangle-like process. First he draws a picture. Then he rubs it out and draws it again. He colours using watercolour, pencils and ink, sniffs it, screws it up and starts over. The digital work process is much the same but without the sniffing. (All digital artwork smells of screen wipe.)
