Guaranteed to keep the kids in your house giggling throughout Christmas dinner --Cork News, December, 2012

I usually don t recommend books, but this one saved my sanity. After the first 15 minutes of a 10-hour drive, my 6-year-old grandson, Van, asked the notorious question, 'Are we there yet?' We played some guessing and counting games until I couldn t take it anymore (about 30 minutes), and then I remembered I had a book with me called 'Monkeyfarts.' It s a new joke book by David Borgenicht that I had received a copy of to review. Humor is one of the hardest things to write, even for children, so I wasn t expecting much. There are 95 pages in this little book, and it seems to have every good kid-appropriate joke I ve heard and many I hadn t. There are knock-knock jokes, funny stories and pages of themed jokes like 'Ants,' 'Powerful Purple Jokes,' 'Mad Monster Jokes' and little-boy-approved 'Burping Jokes.' Needless to say, the time went by fast, and when we were finally there, we were all in a good mood. The bottom line: This is a fun joke book for little boys and anyone who needs to keep children entertained --Sylviasays, October, 2012 ------gathers together some real rip-snorters in a handy collection that provides hours of absolutely (brilliantly) terrible joke-telling that's sure to tickle a few ribs. Pick a subject dear to the hearts of children (p**, f***s, pirates, monsters, elephants) and you can pretty much guarantee there's a joke about it in this book. The titular joke (What's invisible and smells of bananas? Monkey Farts!) is the very tip of the iceberg of a collection of hilarity that stays on just the right end of the 'rudeness' scale (therefore, causes more snorts, giggles, howls of laughter than most other joke collections we've seen). As a jumping off point for our memories of terrible jokes told at school, at scouts (and guides - yes, my wife The Strolling Mum thought this book was brilliant too!) or even at work, it's proved to be a lot of fun. Chock full of illustrations to accompany the giggles and riddles, it's perfect entertainment to pack in a school bag for breaktimes, or even for car journeys (so long as you can stand the steady stream of quick-fire punnery!) --ReaditDaddy, October, 2012----will have you hooting! -- --Fantastic magazine, Oct, 2012

Boy Two who is ten and quite a connosseur of the bad joke had a look. Here's his verdict: 'It's got all the classics and lots of new ones. There are knock-knock jokes, if you're a knock-knocker. Doctor, doctor jokes, chicken jokes - they're all there. I'd recommend it to my frends. And I'll probably read it again. I'll certainly look at it with Hallowe'en coming up. It's great for learning some new jokes for trick or treating. In fact, I'll probably take it with me when I go out. ' --Inabundance, October, 2012 Do your children like telling jokes? My daughter loves jokes. The trouble is, she makes hers up and, sadly, they're not very funny! She's five years old and she understands the construction of jokes, especially knock knock jokes, but when it comes to finding the funny punch line...well, it's not her forte! So, when this book arrived she was keen to take a look. There's a great variety of jokes in the book, with everything from traditional 'why did the chicken cross the road' jokes through to brand new jokes about Harry Potter, which I enjoyed. I liked that there are both short question and answer jokes as well as slightly longer story jokes. That means it works well for younger children who will learn a 2 line joke very quickly, as well as older ones who'll go off and learn a whole paragraph. The font varies throughout with some in large text and others much smaller, so as you flick through some jokes jump out at you straight away and it's easy to just dip in and out of the book as you wish, or to read it straight through too. There are illustrations too, all in orange, black and white. They're cartoon-style and help to break up the jokes. One I particularly liked shows a picture of a little girl with a pea in one nostril, a grape in the other and a string bean in her ear. The accompanying joke obviously tells of her going to the doctor to say I don't feel good and the doctor replies Well, you're obviously not eating right! I liked that joke so much I was willing to overlook the little girl saying she didn't feel good instead of 'feel well'! Although it does have jokes relating to f**** and p**, it isn't horribly rude and of course those are the sort of jokes that make some children split their sides laughing! If you're not keen on this sort of humour then it's best avoided since my five year old daughter has, since the book arrived, told me the what's invisible and smells like bananas joke every day. (The answer is monkeyfarts of course!) -- --The Bookbag, October, 2012
Reseña del editor:
"Monkeyfarts" is a compendium of only the funniest, most tellable, no-fail jokes for every kid. It's filled with the best jokes for kids to share - from knock-knock jokes to what's the difference jokes, from gross jokes to jokes your parents will laugh at, from "Star Wars" jokes to "Harry Potter" jokes. And all the jokes have been kid-tested and approved! "Monkeyfarts" is illustrated in 1/C, with more than 30 images throughout (presented as full page illustrated jokes).
