This study identified the key chemical and microbiological causative agents of taste and order implicated in distribution system; reviewed potential solutions plus established guidelines for water utilities to resolve or prevent their occurrence. Five categories are discussed: biological activity, disinfectants, disinfection by products (DBPs), leaching and blending factors.
