Harris, MD, MPH, is a Clinical Associate Professor of Pediatrics at Stanford University. The founder and former chairperson of the AAP Section on Sports Medicine, in 2003 she was recognized by the Academy for her achievement in the field of pediatric and adolescent sports medicine with the Thomas Schaeffer Award. She has served as team physician for USA Women's Basketball and the Olympic Team Physician program, as well as for numerous local high school and college teams. Steven J. Anderson, MD, is a clinical professor of pediatrics at the University of Washington. He has served on the Examination Committee for the American Board of Pediatrics and the Medical Advisory Committee for the Washington Interscholastic Activities Association, as chair of the Committee on Sports Medicine and Fitness for the American Academy of Pediatrics, and as the Physician Director for the Board of Certification of the National Athletic Trainer Association.
