Hodges, this well-organized, easy-to-read statistical analysis of data from 1,500 documents related to Americans 65 and older can also be used independently. Data is divided into two major sections: Lifestyles, and Work and Money. Tables, charts, graphs, and data summaries describe such topics as marital status, living arrangements, and family life; where the elderly live; geographic mobility, transportation, volunteering, and community life; social activities, travel, and leisure; and finances, spending habits, and incomes of both wealthy and poor older Americans at the beginning of the 21st century.
