It has always been twelve-year-old Ethan Fost's dream to attend the school where crime fighting vigilantes are born, the school where Ethan will be taught to strengthen his power and use it for good. But things take a turn for the worst when he is forced into a secluded school where other kids like himself are forbidden to use their Gifts. However, Ethan is one of the few students who is randomly chosen to compete in an obstacle course which guarantees his chance of attending Warren's School of the Gifted if he wins.
