Paperback. Condición: New. Print on Demand. This book details a study of the perception of differences in the areas of rectangular shapes illuminated chromatically and under varying degrees of luminosity. It expands on two related studies conducted by Kbnig and Rice years prior. The author sought to pinpoint the point of maximum accuracy in human perception, referred to as discriminative efficiency. This was achieved through an intricate series of experiments in which participants made judgments about the comparative size of differently illuminated rectangles. The author found that discriminative efficiency increased as the intensity of illumination decreased, with the exception of one intensity level where a curious reversal occurred. The study also revealed that discriminative efficiency varied based on whether red or green illumination was used. The author concludes that these findings add to our understanding of visual perception and contribute to the ongoing scientific exploration of how our brains process visual information.
