Daniel begins life inside a covered wagon beneath the limbs of an ancient birthing tree which still stands today. Mick Jett is a veteran journalist and freelance writer who worked 27 years for the Miami Herald. He taught journalism and participated in films at the University of Miami. Jett also worked as a foreign correspondent for European outlets including the Reuters News Agency. His newspaper and magazine articles have appeared globally, particularly in the UK, Ireland and Australia. He contributed to the NY Times' Names in Bold columns and also compiled Best Seller Lists in Miami for the Times. He is an Air Force veteran, a former board member of the Ace Academy in Coral Gables and a volunteer worker for the Red Cross and the March of Dimes. He is a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) and the American Legion. He is a native of Nashville, TN, and now lives in Florida with his wife, Linda.
