Reseña del editor:
Finally, a physiology book that you can understand. Reading this book feels like you are having a conversation with a physiology professor who avoids jargon and has a knack for analogies that actually make sense. Do you ever wonder about how Viagra™ works? Whether soda is really bad for bones? Why do spicy foods make you sweat? This book will make an excellent high school graduation gift as in provides non-judgmental discussion of the physiology of alcohol, loud noises, health and sexually transmitted infections. Pre-medical students and first year medical students will find this a fun read for reviewing and refining their knowledge of clinically relevant physiology. The writing style is causal and conversational; the approach minimizes the jargon and stresses general concepts of physiology as well as critical scientific thinking.
