Reseña del editor:
Master storyteller Stephen King presents his classic bestselling story collection Hearts In Atlantis.
Innocence, experience, truth, deceit, loss, and recovery are at the core of these five interconnected, sequential tales—each deeply rooted in the 1960s, and each haunted by the Vietnam War.
“Low Men in Yellow Coats”: A boy discovers a world of predatory malice in his own neighborhood, and that adults are sometimes not rescuers, but at the heart of terror.... “Hearts in Atlantis”: A bunch of college kids get hooked on a card game and confront their own collective heart of darkness, where laughter may be no more than the thinly disguised cry of the beast.... “Blind Willie” and “Why We’re in Vietnam”: Two men attempt to fill the emptiness of the post-Vietnam era in an America that sometimes seems as hollow and haunted as their own lives.... “Heavenly Shades of Night Are Falling”: A man returns to his hometown where one final secret, the hope of redemption, and his heart’s desire may await him....
Full of danger and suspense, Hearts in Atlantis is spellbinding fiction that will take you to a place you have never been...and a place you may never be able to completely leave.
