This is the first of three tales about a naughty goose called Gus and his sidekick Barney, who have some exciting adventures and get into lots of trouble much to the annoyance of the Currie family who live by the riverside in Knaresborough. Set in beautlful North Yorkshire, this first book tells the true story of Gus, Barney and their friend Gertrude and the havoc they cause with hilarious consequences. It is aimed at children aged between 5 and 10.
Pamela E Currie was born in Chichester, Sussex to an RAF family. She travelled extensively around the British Isles throughout her childhood, eventually settling in the North of England. She has lived for more than 30 years with her husband in her 16th Century cottage beside the River Nidd in the picturesque town of Knaresborough set in the beautiful Yorkshire Dales. Pamela has been writing short stories for many years, but was inspired to publish the true story of Gus and Barney for her grandchildren.
