Reseña del editor:
Read how a young father, by using the language of example, forever impacts the values of his young son by caring for a 30 year old mentally challenged homeless man with a heart of gold. The story is fast-paced and heart-warming with a memorable cast of funny, endearing characters. It is sometimes humorous, often heart-wrenching, and always very entertaining!
Biografía del autor:
Roger Corea writes about what he knows. His experience as a former senior sales executive, corporate officer and board member for major U.S. financial services firms, became the basis for The Leadership Factor: Developing an Effective Organization, a 60-hour course he developed on effective leadership and team-building skills. Roger taught that curriculum to corporate and nonprofit organizations throughout upstate New York. Roger's novel, Scarback, draws heavily on his experience. The award winning contemporary novel, set in the 1950s, is based on the many colorful characters, places and events he first discovered in the Italian-American neighborhood of his youth. Its climactic scene takes place during a Canadian fishing trip similar, in detail, to the annual expeditions organized by his father and uncle. Roger recently completed, The Dusenberg Caper, a thriller about the unexpected discovery of a long-lost, and priceless, classic automobile and the high-stakes intrigue that ensues. Not surprisingly, Roger loves fishing, classic cars, and boats. He has also dabbled in classic car restoration. Writing is a natural outgrowth of Roger's formal education. He earned a Bachelor's degree in English from St. Bonaventure University and completed post graduate work in English at the University of Rochester. Before entering the business world, Roger taught English literature at Canandaigua Academy and Penfield High School -- where he also served as assistant football coach. (Perhaps a pig-skin tale may be a coming attraction.) Roger lives with his wife, Mary Ann, in East Rochester, NY. They have three children and three grandchildren. - Jon Reisfeld, Senior Vice President, WWCR www.rogercorea.com
