The story continues. Human Med Tech Thresher Korzeniowski’s beloved Realm is being turned upside-down by events far beyond her control. Tragic and terrifying events! Racist ettringite terrorists are endeavoring to murder the Imperial Majesty and then have the Realm’s humans blamed for their treasonous crime. The Realm’s security services are ruthlessly trying to maintain order, those suspected of involvement in the conspiracy are disappearing, and the secret police have been trained to suspect everyone. Foreign pirates have attacked inside the Realm and Thresher’s ettringite friend, Medical Officer Guard First Lieutenant Frida has been officially reported missing after a battle to stop them. The station Thresher is on has been badly damaged by an explosion and now, someone or something is prowling the stricken station and stealing human body parts from the station’s morgue. To make matters worse, Thresher’s Earth-born mate, Teodor Korzeniowski, has disappeared. It’s enough to make Thresher turn to drink!

He has washed dishes in Mississippi, installed bathroom partitions in Rhode Island, built shipping crates in Connecticut, cleaned up mold in Louisiana, framed metal stud in New York, and mopped floors in Massachusetts. He has delivered auto parts, shampooed carpets, hung drywall, glazed windows, patched tires, serviced gas grills, painted houses, cleaned restrooms, mowed lawns, and printed specification books and geological surveys. He has hunted for fossils along the Sugar River in Upstate New York, collected shells on Cape Cod, and prospected for gold. He traveled on the New York State Barge Canal, rode through Canada by train, motored across the United States, lectured on selachians of Hawaii, won third-place at a car show in Virginia, was given the privilege of cataloging a museum’s mineral collection, and once attempted to rescue a beached shark. He played water polo in school, is a terrible bowler and a worse golfer. He watches hunter-jump and dressage, collects rock oil mantle lamps, listens to 160rpm cylindrical recordings, and enjoys gardening in the rain.
