Reseña del editor:
Three Americans working in the Peace Corps and a reporter writing their story, are thrust into the headlines when a group of terrorists kidnap them in Ethiopia and desperately try to get back to Lebanon with their new found prizes. President McKendry sends SEAL Team Six Cmdr. Mike Hurley and his Blue Team on the hunt for the four captives. Working their way from Ethiopia through Somalia, the race to find the Americans is hindered with small groups of militia slowing down the SEALs. Back home the president has to juggle what his gut instinct tells him to do with the political ramifications that will come with every decision he makes. With the Joint Chiefs driving the Commander in Chief one way, National Security Advisor Elizabeth Alaniz is pulling him toward trying to negotiate with the terrorists. The situation room is where these verbal battles take place and what is causing the biggest headache for the president is that everyone is right. If he goes in guns blazing and the SEALs miss their target, the Americans will be killed and he is described as a loose cannon. If he sits back and tries to secretly negotiate with the terrorists and the Americans are killed, then he is a coward who let his people die. The long, complicated journey that lies ahead for Mike Hurley and his Navy SEALs is one that any combat soldier can identify with, as soon as the first shot is fired the plan goes to hell. Using an array of weapons, tactics and government personnel, the SEALs shoot and scoot through two continents trying to locate the kidnapped Americans.
Biografía del autor:
Michael Tracy was a third class petty officer in the United States Navy. Serving from 1990 to 1994 as a Hospital Corpsman, Michael was able to experience everything a corpsman can. After finishing Field Medical school in Camp LeJune in early 1991, Michael was assigned to the 2nd Marine Division. Later that year Michael was stationed at Bethesda Naval Hospital where he became the senior corpsman on the Neurosurgery ward. In 1992 Michael was then assigned to the USS America CV66. While being apart of the ships company he also was assigned as the corpsman for the Marine detachment that was aboard the carrier. After coming home in 1994 Michael went to work in the family business installing and repairing garage doors. In 1998, Michael was hired by the City of Chicago as a police dispatcher, which is still his job today. One day he plans on writing about the day to day operations at the 911 center because after all, truth is much stranger than fiction. With some Irish blood coursing through his veins, Michael is able to tell a thrilling story with a little bit of humor mixed in. If you're interested in a fast paced, bombs and bullets flying novel, please give this one a try. We know you won't be disappointed. Michael is currently working on the second book in the series and hopes to have it out this summer.
