Biografía del autor:
Carole Chase was born and grew up in the Panama Canal Zone. Her parents, Constant and Frederica Chase, were both New Englanders. Her father was an electrical engineer employed by the United States government in the American Canal Zone. Carole graduated from The College of William and Mary in 1958 and taught mathematics in junior high school until 1962 after which she attended The Presbyterian School of Christian Education where she earned her masters degree in Christian Education. After working five years as Presbyterian Campus Christian Life Worker at Mary Washington College, Carole attended Duke University from which she received her PhD in Christian Ethics in 1973. In 1976, Carole was ordained a minister in the Presbyterian Church, U.S.A. The same year, she joined the faculty of Elon College in North Carolina where she served as a professor in the religious studies department for twenty five years. Carole retired in 2001 and continued to teach on-line courses in religion for several summers. Although Carole has written poetry most of her life, and has had a few individual poems published, Personal Effects is the first book of her poetry to be offered for publication.
