An American soldier, Sergeant Abbey "McJack" finds herself recently widowed in the Iraqi war. Her life tour and her original career in aviation cut short. He first assumes she is on military leave, for she barely talks about the past and keeps to herself on most occasions. In due time, he realizes they may have met before and is reminded of his promise for revenge. For she was the one to cost him nearly his life and for taking his brother's life, practically rendering his family apart. However, there was one small problem; he had become smitten with her. Did the faes of fate have a sick sense of humor or was God above to blame? Only time would tell, completing its full intricate weave on its circular path.

By writing this first book that she started five years ago, Cristi 'McJack' broke the barrier, when her English Professor advised her never to expect anything that she wrote to be published much less make a living. From mortally wounded English papers that sighed, dripping with red ink, she managed to land her first writing assignment (albeit commanded) working as a photojournalist for the Fort Hood Sentential Newspaper in the early 1990s. She holds a Bachelor's in Fine Arts and an Associates in Aviation Applied Science. She joined the US Army falling in love with aviation and flight line work in the civilian sector for over 15 years. During that time, she found her second passion in homes as a real estate investor, designer, and remodeler.
