Grandpa's Souvenir - Tapa blanda

An exciting romance of a secret and forbidden love that time, distance, and borders cannot dissolve. A young American soldier leaves the innocence and security of his family farm, and is sent overseas during World War 2. He soon finds himself training with the elite British Commandos. While his new life is difficult, he manages to make it through several dangerous missions behind the enemy lines, all the while trying to carry on a long distance courtship through many trials. He struggles to balance his thoughts between his distant love, and his military life, while attempting to overcome his fears of combat. When the war comes to its end, he is apprehensive about returning to his love and is not sure if it will be a happy, or a tragic reunion.

The author has published several magazine articles over the years, and has always been interested in history, as well as agriculture. Walter is currently working on a compilation of past and present articles and hopes to publish them during the next year.
