After years of leadership positions in business, Marjorie Weingrow started the award winning SAGE Scholars Program at UC Berkeley, an experiential professional development program she designed to help low-income undergraduates put into practice the professional skills they needed to be successful and get the jobs they loved. She also collaborated with leaders in many industries about recruitment and retention issues. Marjorie had 100% retention of all of her students who all went on to successful careers. Due to the success of the program, she put the practices into an experiential guide that will help everyone starting a career or is in career transition. In Marjorie's 20 years of experience in business in the private and nonprofit business sectors, she implemented many successful internship programs. Marjorie is the recipient of the UC Berkeley Chancellor’s Outstanding Staff Award, as well as a recipient of the Jefferson Award for excellence in community service. She was Chair of the Business and Leadership Forum of the San Francisco Commonwealth Club and received certification from the Leadership Training division of the Coaches Training Institute. Marjorie also has extensive experience working with leaders in the area of human potential using experiential, rather than theoretical practices. She now works with many nonprofits, educators and businesses helping them train their workforce by creating experiential workshops and trainings based on Get The Job You Love. Marjorie is a sought after presenter and workshop leader focusing on inspirational leadership development. She has been a keynote speaker at the San Francisco Commonwealth Club and the Craigslist Foundation Annual Conference. She has been featured on the ABC News, television’s Beyond the Headlines, and has also been featured in the San Francisco Chronicle and the East Bay Business Times. Her passion is working with people to help them excel in their careers in doing the work they love.
