Jim and Betty are retired, visit Denny’s for breakfast every morning, and seem like an ordinary senior couple. But one day, these high-school sweethearts make a decision that throws them into a life-changing situation. Running from the scene of the crime, they take a desperate road trip across California and ponder the events that led them to this moment in their lives. LIZZY PERKINS hails from London, England; has a cute accent; and loves writing tales. She has worked in a variety of jobs and is currently studying towards an Associates Degree in English. In 1999, she moved to Texas with her son and found that the natives were very friendly. She resides in Northern California with her husband Kelly, is happy with life, and is writing more stories. “For Our Daughter” is her first published short story.
