Kelly Bingham is the author of the award-winning novel Shark Girl as well as the acclaimed picture book Z Is for Moose, illustrated by Paul O. Zelinsky. About Formerly Shark Girl, she says, "I never thought of writing a sequel to Shark Girl. But over the years, so many readers have written and asked me about Jane. Did she ever see Max again? Did she ever go back to the ocean? Did she choose to be a nurse or an artist? They asked such good questions that I began to wonder about them myself."
