In the suffocating January darkness, Edward Connor III is fighting internal demons. Obsessed with all of life's unanswered questions, his distressed brain is running so fast that his body is unable to shut down and rest. He has reached a terrifying stage of chronic insomnia, and his deep confusion is slaughtering the last hints of a smile from his face. Edward is in trouble. His job in a prestigious law firm is gone, and his health is deteriorating at an alarming speed.
