It manages between $50 and $60 billion in contracts at any one time. Global Positioning Systems Wing - Acquire and sustain survivable, effective, and affordable global positioning, navigation and timing services for our military and civil users. Space Based Infrared Systems Wing - Develops, acquires, sustains space-based Infrared surveillance, tracking and targeting capabilities for missile warning/defense and intelligence. Launch and Range Systems Wing - Develops and acquires expendable launch and range systems and manages launch integration, mission assurance, and launch campaigns. Space Superiority Systems Wing - Delivers and sustains unrivaled space control systems to ensure space superiority. Space Development and Test Wing (Kirtland AFB, NM) - Develops advanced responsive space systems, concepts, targets, and launchers. 526th ICBM Systems Group (Hill AFB, UT) - Dedicated weapon system professionals responsible from vision to retirement of Minuteman, Peacekeeper, and future global strike missile systems; the single face to our user for development, acquisition, sustainment and disposal. Defense Meteorological Satellite Program Systems Group - Provides timely and accurate worldwide environmental data to DoD and national program users. Satellite Control and Network Systems Group - Modernizes and sustains the Air Force Satellite Control Network (AFSCN). Acquires hardware and software to operationally control 170 DoD/National/Allied/Civil satellites. Missile Defense Systems Group - Responsible for activities associated with program execution of the Space Tracking and Surveillance System research and development, Near Field Infrared Experiment and Advanced Technology Risk Reduction effort.
