The books in the series, however, are far more than just language books - they provide an introduction to the culture of the country for KS1 children. A brief introduction to the language is given; there is a guide to pronunciation; introducing yourself and then words associated with everyday life - home, school, shopping, work etc. These are complemented by useful nuggets of information.
