Helen Fielding was born in Yorkshire and now lives in London and Los Angeles. She has worked in television and newspaper journalism, and has produced documentaries for Comic Relief in Ethiopia, the Sudan and Mozambique. She has also written for the Sunday Times and Independent on Sunday. She is now, of course, the best-selling author of Bridget Jones' Diary and The Edge of Reason.
